They grew up in the Joliet/Lockport area in the state of Illinois. As young men they’ve discovered the art of Hip-Hop and want to make their mark in the now booming genre. It all started in the basement. The C-Boy Committee, founded by H.C./The Head Cutta, is a group that came into being in late 2004. H.C. had an interest in producing music. He used the money he earned from his summer job and bought his first beat machine. In the early stages of producing it was not uncommon for him, and occasionally his brothers, to spend entire days in the basement producing beats. Soon, however, beat producing became a craft that was not enough to quench their satisfaction. In an impromptu vibe session, H.C, Yung Element and Buuda wrote their first song together. Now they are blossoming into full-fledged young artist, having performed at various locations in the northern regions of Illinois. They have also recently completed their first album, Dangerous Group. It features their hometown hit, fittingly titled “Hometown”. The album features appearances by Half-Dead, F-2, Urban and their mother and manager, Youlanda. With the backing of their mother they are being steered in the right direction towards a prosperous career. Under her company, MayLay Entertainment, they all hope to bring a fresh new sound, one that incorporates the love of hip hop, music & family. |
