Hip-hop has been improving for quite some time, and it's steadily on an up-spiral. More artists are holding themselves accountable for what they have to say and offer, and they are consequently putting our more socially conscious music that not only feeds their fanbase in the streets, but also teaches the youth who are also listening closely.

Jair Dynast is definitely among the handful of newer artists that are out to gain something more than a pocket full of money and a few screaming fans. His debut, "V.I.A.L.E.N.C.E", is sure to strike a chord with many hip-hop fans. Just release less than a month ago, he's already impacting the lives of many who have had the chance to cop it.

His track "The Intro" caught me right from the start. Not your typical track, in this song, Jair utilizes words beginning with "IN" throughout the track as a way of bringing us all into his world of poetry. Like many others before him, he talks about the struggles that come along with growing up within the inner city on tracks like "Profiling" and "Change", yet, he does it in a tactful way that isn't so forced and overbearing. Much of the album has a strong educational factor, and you know that he's not just coming off the top of his head, but really coming from his heart and giving us true accounts in his music.

Other gems throughout “V.I.A.L.E.N.C.E.” (which by the way, stands for “Viscious Ignorance Amounts to Little Except Negative Consequences N’ Expressions”) include “Spread Love”, “Vicious”, “Converse”, and “Can’t Wait”, which has become the theme song for “Make Some Noise”, a new mini-series airing on C.B.C. Television network.

Jair Dynast is well on his way to becoming one of hip-hop’s most prolific artists. The album is definitely worth checking out for any true hip-hop fan.

JAIR DYNAST BIOGRAPHY

Immersed in the culture of Hip Hop since early childhood, Jair Dynast, "One whom God Enlightened, Ruler of a Dynasty", never knew he had found his life's passion. A prolific street poet, Jair speaks to "real life issues" with raw uncut passion through his thought provoking metaphors and similes. He writes emotionally driven, social commentary befitting the early days of our culture overshadowed only by his epic hard hitting beats. Jair Dynast combines an inner city upbringing and his Caribbean heritage with his category defying production. His music brings a breath of fresh air to Hip Hop while tackling the issues of poverty and violence affecting our inner cities.

Building on the success of his debut single, which peaked at #4 on the Top 30, Jair was given an opportunity to introduce "Vicious" and "Pull Up" from his forthcoming solo debut album, V.I.A.L.E.N.C.E. at CMJ25 Music Marathon Showcase in NYC. Performing in September 2005 at the Bowery Poetry Club in Manhattan, to a sizeable crowd, he was very well received. Jair Dynast's new singles, "Vicious" and "Pull Up" are the lead off joints to the album, V.I.A.L.E.N.C.E. scheduled for release later in 2006.

One of the songs on Jair Dynast's new solo debut album, V.I.A.L.E.N.C.E. is the theme song for the new 13-part T.V. mini-series, Make Some Noise. The original track addresses the apathy that most 16-24 year old young people have towards voting. Jair uses his gritty, metaphor-laden delivery to inspire his community to be educated about politics and get involved in the voting process.

There's a lot of discussion about rap music and violence, its influence on young people and even its relevance in society. Jair's personal story telling and his lyrical ability showcase how authentic hardcore hip hop can still be relevant and revolutionary while grabbing the attention of the real heads in search of witty punch lines and grimy beats.

Hip Hop lovers, music fans and DJs need look no further for riot-inciting beats and rhymes than Jair Dynast so spread the word.
